02 / PRIVACY POLICY

Scope and purpose.

This Privacy Policy explains how Stockr collects, uses, stores and shares information when you use the Stockr mobile app and related services. Stockr is operated by BLANCC LTD (“Stockr”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

Scope

Stockr is a private business operations app for hospitality teams. It is used by business owners, managers and invited staff to manage operational workflows such as stock counts, receipts, opening and closing tasks, timekeeping, standard operating procedures, rota visibility and internal announcements.

This policy applies to information processed through the Stockr app, our backend services and the support processes connected to the app.

03 / INFORMATION

Information we collect.

We may collect and process the following categories of information.

01

Account and profile information

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Login and account identifiers
  • Business membership, role and access level

We use this information to authenticate users, create profiles, manage access to the correct business workspace and maintain account security.

02

Business and operational content

Stockr is designed to store business-operational records entered by authenticated users, including:

  • Stock items, stock counts, stock history and supplier-related stock metadata
  • Opening and closing checklist activity and task completion records
  • Item requests
  • Shift schedules and rota or calendar entries
  • Board or Home updates and internal announcements
  • SOP content
  • Timekeeping history

We use this information to provide the app’s core functionality and to show the correct business records to authorised users within that business.

03

Photos and uploaded files

Stockr may process photos and uploaded images, including receipt images and optional operational proof images uploaded in task workflows.

We use these files to support receipt capture, receipt review, operational recordkeeping and related admin workflows.

04

Receipt metadata and OCR output

For receipts, Stockr may process the receipt amount, merchant or description, category, purchase date, VAT amount if shown, and the last four payment-card digits if shown.

If the receipt-reading feature is used, Stockr may send the receipt image to our OCR service provider, OpenAI, so the app can extract these fields and write them back to the receipt record.

05

Location information

Stockr may process precise location information when a user attempts to clock in, or when an authorised business admin configures or updates the saved business clock-in location or geofence.

We use this information to verify clock-ins against the saved business location and to support location-based attendance records. Stockr does not request background location access for normal app operation.

06

Notification and device information

If notifications are enabled, Stockr may process push notification tokens, the platform or device type needed to deliver notifications, and device-level notification preference settings saved by the user.

We use this information to send operational notifications such as low-stock alerts, task reminders, missed clock-in alerts and admin announcements.

07

Technical and session information

We may process technical information required to operate the service, such as authentication session data, basic app and platform information, and logs needed to secure and maintain the app.

04 / USE

How we use information.

We use personal and business information to operate, secure and support Stockr.

  • Authenticate users and maintain signed-in sessions.
  • Associate users with the correct business and role.
  • Provide the core Stockr features and business records.
  • Upload, store, review and retrieve receipt and task-related images.
  • Perform receipt OCR when requested by the user or business workflow.
  • Verify clock-ins against the saved business location.
  • Send operational notifications.
  • Support account management, including sign-out, account deletion and ownership-handover safeguards.
  • Protect the security, integrity and reliability of the app.
  • Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

05 / SHARING

Who we share information with.

We do not sell personal information and we do not share personal information for cross-app advertising or tracking.

Your business and its authorised users

Stockr is a workplace tool. Information entered into the app may be visible to authorised owners, admins and staff within the same business, depending on role-based permissions.

Admins may be able to review staff receipts, timekeeping records, checklist progress, rota data and other business-operational records. If you use Stockr through your employer or business, that business may control or administer some of the data processed in the app.

Service providers

We use Supabase for authentication, database hosting, file storage and server-side functions; Expo services for mobile app infrastructure and push-notification delivery; and OpenAI for receipt OCR when the receipt-reading feature is used.

We share information with these providers only as needed to deliver the app’s functionality. We require service providers that receive user data on our behalf to protect it using safeguards that are at least consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Legal, security or business protection

We may disclose information if reasonably necessary to comply with law, regulation, legal process or an enforceable government request; protect rights, safety, security or property; or investigate misuse, fraud or security issues.

Tracking, advertising and analytics

Stockr does not currently use third-party advertising SDKs for targeted advertising or third-party analytics SDKs for cross-app or cross-website tracking. Stockr does not use data collected from this app to track users across other companies’ apps or websites.

06 / RETENTION & DELETION

Data retention and deletion.

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the app, maintain business records, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.

Active data
Active account and business data is retained while the account and business workspace remain in use.
Files and records
Uploaded files and operational records are retained as part of the business workspace until deleted, overwritten or removed through the app or backend workflows.
Notification data
Push notification tokens and device-notification preferences are retained until they are replaced, removed or associated access ends.

Account deletion

Users can request deletion of their own account from within the app at Profile → Danger zone → Delete account.

When an account is deleted, Stockr is designed to delete the user’s login and associated account data, including the user’s profile, uploaded receipts and receipt files, stock counts, task completions, timekeeping records, shift schedules, shift calendar assignments, pending invites associated with that account email and device push tokens.

To preserve shared business records and audit integrity, some collaborative records may be retained in de-identified or anonymised form when an account is deleted. This can include creator or reviewer references on shared records such as board updates, board calendar entries, SOPs, item requests, receipt reviews and other business-owned collaborative content.

If a user is the only active owner of a business, account deletion may be blocked until ownership is transferred or another owner is added so the business is not left without an owner.

07 / CONTROLS & SECURITY

Your choices and controls.

Access and correction

You may be able to update certain profile or business information directly in the app. Because Stockr is a business-managed product, some information may also be controlled by your business owner or administrator.

Notifications

You can manage device-level notification categories in the app and can also disable notifications for Stockr through your device’s system settings.

Location, camera and photos

You can withdraw access to location, camera or photo-library permissions at any time through your device settings. If you withdraw access, some Stockr features may no longer work as intended.

Account deletion

You can request deletion of your account in-app using the path described above. If you need additional help, contact us using the details below.

Security

We use technical and organisational measures intended to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International processing

Stockr and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you are located. Where this happens, we take steps intended to ensure information is handled with appropriate protections consistent with applicable law.

Children’s privacy

Stockr is a workplace and business operations app. It is not directed to children.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and may provide additional notice where appropriate.
